Having watched the terrible scenes and events from the safety of my own armchair, I feel that it would be wrong of me not to post about the recent tragic events in Japan. This is therefore an open post for people to put their own thoughts and prayers to the people of Japan during this terrible hour for Japan and her people.

One hardly knows what to say...this is equal parts tragic and terrifying.
Katrina was a natural disaster compounded by sheer human stupidity. The levees were already compromised, the evacuation plan was never executed, because so many refused to believe the gravity of the warnings issued.
Haiti was a disaster already, before the earthquake, which tragically exacerbated a pre-existing misery.
This is altogether something different, a tragedy that has befallen one of the most industrious and well-prepared nations in history.
Thoughts and prayers go with them, especially with the engineers working to get the reactors under control. We'll know in coming weeks just how significantly this tragedy impacts our daily lives.
Terrible, terrible, my thoughts are with Japan at this time.
Life is a gift.
There are no words to express the devastation. So sad to see so many people suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with the Japanese people who have lost so much.
